If anyone is still here reading this ..... I just want to let you know that my sweet, beloved Gretchen passed away yesterday, Friday, June 7, 2019 at the age of 17 years, 3 months and 1 day. She fought the good fight as long as she could but she just couldn't do it anymore so my husband and I helped "escort" her to the Rainbow Bridge.

Saying goodbye to her and being present at the moment of her passing, was the hardest thing in the world that I've ever had to endure (so far) but I wouldn't change a thing. She gave us so many, many wonderful years of love, joy and happiness that we wouldn't have had otherwise had she not come into our lives and for that, we are truly grateful!

It's only been 29-1/2 hours now since we lost her yet it seems like it's been an absolute eternity! I keep looking for her and cry a bucket of tears every time I remember why I can't find her but I try hard to remember all the great times we had with her and I know she's here with me in spirit. And when it comes time for my husband and me to finally join her at the foot of the Rainbow Bridge where we know she's waiting for us, our family will once more be together and this time, it will be for forever where nothing and no one will EVER be able to separate us again ..... not time, not age, not illness, not anything!

Love, hugs and kisses my sweet Gretchen! Mommy loves you with ALL her heart and will be there as soon as I can, my darling girl! Until then, enjoy being young, happy, healthy and strong again while playing with all the other little 4-legged fur-angels there until we see each other again someday! ♥
