How big will my Ocherese get?
I'm allergic to dogs. Will I be allergic to Ocherese?
How long do Ocherese live?
Are Ocherese easy to house train?
Even the largest adult Ocherese would be considered "small" by dog standards. However, some Ocherese grow up to be larger than others. Most adult Ocherese are between 5-12 lbs.
A large percentage of dog allergies are are due to dander, or tiny skin flakes, which tend to be shed along with hair in short-haired dog breeds. Ocherese are a non-shedding breed and are in fact considered to be hypoallergenic. Therefore many people who experience allergy symptoms with other dog breeds may not experience those symptoms with Ocherese, or may experience much slighter symptoms. You're welcome to come by and visit our puppies to "feel for yourself."
Alas, we are all mortal and impervious creatures, even dogs. However, in general, Ocherese and many other small breed dogs have a tendency to live longer, healthier lives than many larger breeds. It is common for Ocherese to see their 11th, 12th, and even 13th birthday. The person answering this question, in fact, has had one and only one Ocherese -- our honorary teenage daughter, Sophie -- at the time of this writing she's nearly 16 years old and going strong!
Ocherese are smart, but all puppies need attentive training to get the hang of things. As with any puppy, when house training your Ocherese, you'll need to be consistent in taking them out regularly at expected intervals, consistent with rewarding good behavior, and consistent with preempting accidents whenever possible.
